Factory Paint Codes

Looking to paint your truck the original color but don't know what that was or are you having a hard time finding out what the old code number is equivalent to in today's colors?

I have color copies of Chevy truck paint chips going back to 1936 and forward to current, with a few gaps. Most colors were used multiple years, so there is still good coverage of missing years. I converted original PPG numbers from 1936 to 1959 to currently mixable PPG numbers and some DuPont numbers. The database continues to expand listing proper colors for various truck components for factory authentic restoration. Also included are interior colors in currently mixable numbers.

I also include copies of my body work and paint prep articles published in "This Old Truck" magazine, now "Vintage Truck". I have owned a restoration shop for 32 years specializing in GM trucks, and do body work and painting myself. I attend PPG paint school biannually to stay updated. The procedures I recommend are the overall best for restoration according to the paint manufacturers and my years of experience, including my own experiments with extended outdoor storage. The database is constantly updated and expanded with useful information for factory authentic restoration. I sell with a money back guaranty.

I also have similar info for GMC, with nice chips for 1951-54, as well as many other years.

Price is $20. State year of truck and whether Chevy or GMC
